The New World: Artificial Intelligence & Facility Management
Dr. Burcu Akinci, Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer of LeanFM Technologies, is the Paul Christiano University Professor and department head of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University.  She is also a member of the National Academies of Construction, ASCE Fellow and AAAS Fellow.   Dr. Akinci’s research interests include modeling and reasoning about digital twins of buildings and infrastructure systems to streamline construction and infrastructure operations. 
Rear Admiral (Ret.) Michael Giorgione is the Chief Executive Officer of LeanFM Technologies.
Mike is a Pittsburgh native, a 1981 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and served 29 years in the U.S. Navy’s Civil Engineer Corps.  He is a registered professional engineer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, a Fellow in the Society of American Military Engineers, and is past Chairman of the Board of the Seabee Memorial Scholarship Association. 
Jim Lindberg, a Pittsburgh native, is an HVAC industry expert.  Jim has a BS degree in Civil Engineering degree from Case Western University and after an eight-year career in the steel industry, he began a 40-year career in hospital facilities management. Directorships included urban and suburban hospitals, several large academic medical centers, and as the chief facility officer at two national for-profit hospital companies. Jim deployed LeanFM at nine hospitals and upon retirement came to LeanFM as a Consultant. His interests in utilizing data analytics are to improve the patient experience, extend the life of equipment, and to reduce utility expenditures.
